A whole new world of possibilities is opening up for your lead generation. Facebook’s new Lead Ads are changing the game for social media lead generation. While we’ve written quite a bit on them already (such as in our articles Facebook Introduces Lead Ads and Setting up Facebook Ads For Home Improvement), today we’re going to talk about one of the customization features. Today we’re talking context cards.
What are context cards?
A context card is simply an intermediary page between how the lead ad appears in the news feed and the form itself. It’s helpful to offer promotions, provide additional information about where the lead ends up, and can give the lead insight into why your company is the right fit for them. It gets your leads to be more aware of what they’re doing with their information and helps them become more invested in your company. So obviously, there’s a lot of options for these!
First off is offering promotions for your products or services. Let them know that there’s no setup fee if they sign up today, or let them know that 10% of their spending will go to charity. Whatever your newest venture into promotion is, the context card is the perfect place to show it off.
When creating your forms for Facebook lead ads, you can set custom, optional questions for your leads to fill out. Unfortunately, these are rarely auto-completed by Facebook, so it’s easy for leads to skip over them. Try offering a deal if they provide you with that extra, optional information. Your sales team will thank you for it.
One of the best ways to improve your conversion rate is by getting customers invested in your company and its ideas. That is usually easier said than done, however. With context cards, you can provide a company history that illuminates why your company does what it does, how it does it, and why that’s so important for the consumer. Though you don’t have a lot of space to take advantage of this (one image and a few lines of text at most), pick out some of the most important parts of your company’s mission statement, and highlight your commitment to the environment, to the industry, or to the customer. Now customers will go from wanting your service to wanting to support your business – a subtle difference on their end that leads to major dividends for yourself.
Ultimately, context cards are quick, informative, and good for your business, but they’re just one of many ways that you can optimize Lead Ads for your business.
