First, write down a phone number from Phone Routing>Manage Campaigns in your lead system to use for testing.
In the Live Credentials section of your Twilio account, verify ACCOUNT SID is the same as Settings>Twilio Settings in your lead system.
Determine what, if any, outside applications are connected with this Twilio account. These will also have to be changed.
In your Twilio account go to Manage account>General settings, under AUTH TOKEN, click 'Request a Secondary Token'.
There will be two tokens now. Click the 'eye' icon to show Secondary Token and copy it.
In your lead system, enter Secondary Token into the Twilio Auth Token field of Settings>Twilio Settings. Click Update.
Right away, place a test call to the number your wrote down in step 1. There is a chance an application is using Signature Validation and if so, there may be an error as Twilio can only do signature validation on primary token.
Verify the test call in your Leads>Inbound Phone tab.
Enter the Secondary Token into any outside applications to replace the Primary Token.
Right away, place a test call to a number NOT in your lead system.
Verify the appropriate flow.
Confirm the original Auth Token is not being used anywhere else in your organization. If it is, replace with Secondary Token.
When you are ready to delete the original Auth Token, click 'Promote to Primary" by your Secondary Token.
This action will cause the original Auth Token to be deleted automatically.
