Welcome back to boberdoo Labs! This is our dedicated space to show you the cool internal projects, experiments and innovations the boberdoo team is tinkering with behind the scenes. This month, we wanted to give you a sneak peek at how we are combining boberdoo’s APIs with AI-driven development to build a new WordPress plugin for boberdoo users.

Let’s see what we've been working on!

Solving Paid Search with the noPingRing API

If you run paid search campaigns on platforms like Google or Reddit, you know the problem: you need to display a tracking phone number immediately to capture the conversion, but at that exact moment, you haven't collected any user filters (like a zip code or project requirements) yet.

Standard ping-routing requires those filters upfront. To solve this, our prototype utilizes the noPingRing API.

  • Instant Pool Tracking: The plugin grabs a dynamic tracking number from your boberdoo pool without executing a real ping or requiring upfront filters.
  • No More Custom Coding: Typically, if you want to extract unique URL parameters (like a click ID or sub-ID) and map them to a call record, you have to write custom code for every single campaign variable.
  • Dynamic Mapping via Shortcodes: We built this plugin so you can use simple WordPress shortcodes to automatically extract parameters from the URL.

How it works in the prototype: If a user lands on your site from a Reddit campaign with a URL like mysite.com?subID=123, the plugin automatically reads that sub-ID, maps it to the correct boberdoo API field, and displays the tracking number. When they call, the conversion maps back to your campaign code-free.

Form A/B Testing Made Simple

Data-driven forms are the backbone of optimization. To see which converts best, the plugin includes built-in Form A/B Testing.

Instead of guessing whether your audience prefers a quick, high-intent form or a comprehensive multi-step experience, you can build two separate forms within your boberdoo system (e.g., a sleek 1-step form vs. a detailed 3-step form). By placing the form shortcodes in the plugin, it automatically handles split testing on your WordPress page and routes all data seamlessly back to your main system.

Fast  Onboarding: Partner Wizards & Vendor Signups

Automating manual data entry in partner and vendor management is another area we wanted to tackle. We built two specialized shortcodes to handle onboarding workflows directly on a website:

The Partner Wizard

Designed to onboard new buyers quickly, this shortcode embeds a clean, step-by-step signup flow. In our testing, it successfully automates the creation of new partner accounts and instantly sets up inbound phone filters out of the box.

Vendor Signup

On the supply side, the vendor signup feature allows new lead sellers to register through a public-facing form. The plugin calls the boberdoo API to instantly generate a new vendor record, allowing them to get set up to deliver leads faster.

Built with AI, Driven by APIs

Call settings

Perhaps the coolest part of this boberdoo Labs project isn't just what it does, but how it was built.

By feeding our thoroughly documented boberdoo API specifications into an AI development workflow, we were able to rapidly prototype, write code and build this functional WordPress asset in a fraction of the time it would take in traditional development. It’s a massive testament to how open API structures and AI can speed up internal innovation.

While you can't get your hands on this plugin just yet, we want to know what you think of this sneak peek behind the curtain!
